L.A. BANDS

From LAX to YVR, these L.A. BANDS receive my stamp of approval! I have fallen in l-o-v-e with these silky, gem-tone hair ties. Not only are they adorable and come in a wide variety of colors but they're also good for your hair! Unlike regular elastics which can cause the cuticle layer of your hair to become distorted resulting in breakage, these L.A. BANDS provide a strong hold without the harsh grip. The smooth fabric [like that of a scrunchie] minimizes friction against the hair. With everyday wear and tear, dying, straightening, blow drying and curling, my hair could seriously use all the help it can get.

L.A. BANDS FTW!

In love with LANVIN

I absolutely adore Lanvin flats! I will so proudly admit that these effortlessly elegant ballet flats are the best pairs of shoes to have ever touched my SOUL [spelling error intended]. These beyond fabulous flats provide the best in style, comfort AND arch support; something that is difficult to find in a pair of simple ballet flats. I've already put two pairs on a list of things for my mother to bring me back from Europe. Although these flats may cost you a pretty penny, they are very well worth it! Let me tell you... After an eight hour day in these, your feet will be thanking you.
How can you not fall in love?

Hamsa

I received my first hamsa when I was in eleven years old and I wore it every day... Until it broke! Since then, I have gone through many but never have I fallen out of love with this unique and significant amulet. Clearly, even as a child I had good taste in jewelry. Hamsa, also known as the Hand of Miriam, is a religious symbol that is thought to ward of evil, harm and illness. This 'protective' charm is derived from both Islamic and Jewish cultures. Hamsa comes from the Hebrew word "Hamesh," which means five. A hamsa always has three extended fingers with both pinky and thumb curved outwards or shorter than the middle three. Many hamsa's have an EYE in the palm of the hand; this symbol is thought to protect against the 'evil eye' - a look that may cause a person bad luck. Whether it be a hamsa, a horsehoe or a heart, etc., I think that every person should have a favorite symbol or significant charm; kind of like their signature piece. Mazel Tov!
